Jim’s experience is two fold:
1. First his twenty plus years in financial reporting and interpretation, audit, negotiations and financial controls and previous experience dealing with the resource industry as part of KPMG’s partnership and its natural resource practice
2. Second, Jim’s experience subsequent to KPMG, serving Indigenous peoples throughout North and Central America. Jim currently serves several nations throughout British Columbia and Central America. His role centres around Board member participation and a key member of the financial management. Jim also serves as an adviser in the areas of economic development, governance structures and organizational structure.
Jim’s experiences makes him well suited to understanding the opportunities and requirements that face Indigenous populations today and in the years ahead.
Indigenous peoples currently have enormous opportunities to improve the economic lot in life for members of their communities. Jim sincerely wants to be part of the positive change that is happening and work together with Indigenous organizations in achieving their economic and social goals.
